17 | Prediabetic Friendly Thanksgiving Dinner Sides So Your Family Is Eating Well

Do you or a loved one face pre-diabetes and you’re wondering how to tackle the Thanksgiving dinner?  Are you afraid that you may have to skip the Thanksgiving meal because of all the carbs?  Is the thought of going to a family Thanksgiving meal stressing you out?

 

In this episode, I’m going over 4 strategies to tackle the Thanksgiving meal so that everyone can partake and enjoy this season of thanksgiving together as a family.

 

Thanksgiving meals can honor tradition while supporting eating well, even for a prediabetic diet. Choose one non-negotiable favorite, then plan a balanced menu with low-glycemic vegetables, lean proteins, and simple swaps inspired by Mediterranean diet recipes. Modify dishes thoughtfully, offer smart beverages, and prep ahead to reduce stress. Flexibility allows cultural traditions and health to coexist, keeping the focus on gratitude, family, and ease. Pair mindful holiday eating with strength training, stress management, and good time management for overall wellness.
